After copping a hammering with favourite Our Lukas in last week's Ipswich Cup, bookies will be looking for a change of fortune in tomorrow's feature event, the $500,000 Winter Stakes.

But on paper at least the last Group 1 of the season looks an easy assignment for punters under the weight for age conditions of the race.

Favourite Ortensia rates on top after her slashing 3rd in the Stradbroke and she might show further improvement on the firmer surface. Forensics is all class and will finally get the dry track she's been looking for. And defending champion Absolut Glam comes into the race with similar form to last year and will be take beating again.

Tomorrow's charity bet

Next Saturday 27 June the Sunshine Coast hosts its annual feature race day including the $200,000 Caloundra City Cup and $175,000 Glasshouse Handicap.

Then it's back to Eagle Farm on Saturday 4 July for the first meeting of the new Brisbane Racing Club which includes the $150,000 Queensland Cup over 3200m.
