After a bumper hold on last week's $1 million Railway Stakes, we're expecting plenty of betting interest in tomorrow's feature: the $400,000 Winterbottom Stakes at Ascot.

2 of Australia's favourite racehorses - the evergreen Takeover Target and Apache Cat - go head-to-head for the first time since the TJ Smith Stakes in April. Apache Cat was the victor on that occasion but his dismal failure in the VRC Stakes at Flemington 3 weeks ago has cast plenty of doubt over his readiness for battle. Throw track specialists Danny Beau (6 from 6) and Marasco (9 from 16) into the mix and it's looking like the highlight of the Perth summer carnival!
